Master Meter- Recordings clipping, square wave peaks

Is there a master meter so we don’t clip our recordings when the audio from both turntables is combined?

I have noticed square clipped waveforms after recording.

How do we know we aren’t clipping when recording?

Thanks so much for your reply. I’m unsure if the curve would help. I think a master meter would be a nice inclusion on your mixer. I primarily use your software for on air radio playback so the record function is not important to me.

It does make me wonder if the audio is getting clipped or limited in this way when people use it to mix though… Is there a limiter on the output of DJ??

Hi Dan,

There is currently no master meter in djay. Would a “constant power” crossfader curve help in your case?
