YOUR QUESTION:
Hi,
When using the DDJ-FLX4, DJAY pro does not show what the pads do based on the selected mode. That is, e.g. when selecting a pad mode (hot cues, pad fx, beat jump, …), I would expect DJAY pro to switch to the corresponding pad mode and show what the pads do. It does not.
Luckily, this is bearable for hot cues, but for everything else I find this very clunky. For pad fx, I can manually switch which is not very practical but doable. For beat jumps, I don’t even know how I can display at all which pad jumps by how much (?).
My question: Is there something wrong with my settings or is this really a software limitation? BTW, other software can do this, so it’s not something that is inherently not possible due to a lack of MIDI outputs from the controller or similar. And given that the beat jumps of the FX actually work, it’s clear that DJAY pro understands that the commands come in and which mode is active, I just can’t see the relevant information.
Can someone enlighten me?
Chris
