well for startersi can’t get the neural mix mapped in the pro 8. im using macOS cause all my music is on my macbook. i thought i had it on the EQ knobs for channel 4 so i could better control the neural crossfader but that was a freakin fail.
Maybe try sharing some screenshots or a short video of your MIDI commands.

my bad. is there a video or instruction manual that can assist with midi mapping for macOS? all i see are videos of mixon 8 pro with iOS but it clearly states on the algorridim and reloop sites that the mixon is compatible with djay on mac.

i get that much. i know how to get to the midi controller on the app but i have assigned the mixon 8 pro’s EQ knobs to neural mix channel 4 volume and whatever but it’s not working. im am doing this on my macOS macbook pro. has anyone here actually done it with this controller on djay macOS?? if so please just share the steps cause i really cant explain this any further. im out of words.
@dj_dubantheM, while in the MIDI Learn tool on macOS:
- Rotate the Deck 4 High EQ
- Change the Target to Mixer
- Set the Action to Neural Mix Crossfader (3ch: Vocals)
- Rotate the Deck 4 Mid EQ
- Change the Target to Mixer
- Set the Action to Neural Mix Crossfader (3ch: Harmonic)
- Rotate the Deck 4 Low EQ
- Change the Target to Mixer
- Set the Action to Neural Mix Crossfader (3ch: Drums)
- Save your modified MIDI Mapping.
thank u for posting this but it didn’t work. i can’t believe it. i don’t understand.
the neural mix instant controls are natively mapped with the 8 sample loops buttons(top row to isolate and bottom row to mute individually) by pressing it twice but the neural crossfader is not responding to ch3 or ch4 (i want to use the four neural mix crossfader controls by using the gain as well) knobs after following your instructions . i also noticed that the mixon 8 pros crossfader is moving the neural mix crossfader but all at once (while neural mix is in chosen on mode). could that be an issue. in the midi mapping the crossfader is assigned only to crossfader so im like totally stumped. i read that possibly i have to configure the knobs as secondary NM controls and chose invert when assigning the four knobs. is that right? i tried it once but it was opening up “reloop mixon 8 pro edit” like as a new list of controls. that’s when i noticed that in the configuration drop down it had “reloop mixon 8 pro (built-in)”. is that the one im supposed to change the knobs under and then configure as secondary for a “edit” dropdown? im really losing a bit of sanity :(( help please.
You’re welcome @dj_dubantheM. Without a video or screenshots from you, it’s hard for me to know what you are doing wrong exactly. This works perfectly on my Mixon 8 Pro. So, perhaps the easiest solution is for me to MIDI Map it for you. Please copy the file below to the Music>djay>MIDI Mappings folder on your Mac. Then inside of djay, select the Reloop Mixon 8 Pro-NM Crossfader MIDI Mapping. I have mapped the Deck 4 Gain and EQs to control all 4 Neural Mix Crossfaders.

i have another question though. is there a button on the mixon 8 that allows you to scroll thru and choose what FX u want to apply or does that have to be done by hand?

I want to map the neural cross fader to my DDJflx4 , I was thinking about, pressing SHIFT - and using the channel mixer knobs. but I cant seem to map it… can anyone help? is it even possible?

Hi @josh_saunders, I don’t have a FLX4 to check, but for this to work on a SHIFT layer, the controller needs to send a different MIDI message when you hold shift. If it sends the same message as it does without holding shift then this won’t work.

I’m having the same issue but I’m using iPad iOS. Mapped the neural crossfader a to channel 4 and worked seamlessly until I tried to use the main crossfader. That moves all the neural crossfaders at the same time rather than how it was originally. Is there a way to midi map a button to switch between regular crossfader and neural crossfader? I looked but didn’t see an option. Any help would be appreciated
Hi @Sonamabesh, welcome to the Community! There is currently no way to toggle between regular crossfader and Neural Mix Crossfader via MIDI. The hardware crossfader is always linked to both at the same time. I recommend that you do not touch the hardware crossfader when using Neural Mix Crossfaders. Alternatively, if you don’t use the regular crossfader at all, you could delete the MIDI command for the crossfader and only use the controls that you mapped to the NM Crossfader on channel 4. I hope that helps!
