SDVS 2↔4
Simple Direct View Switching
I wanted a quicker way to jump directly between the 2-deck and 4-deck layouts on the Mixtour Pro without cycling through the other available views.
The good part is that the SHIFT functions for the left and right FX Select arrows were vacant — not assigned to anything — so they were basically there for the picking.
Rather than leave those shifted controls unused, I mapped them as dedicated deck-view shortcuts.
Mapping:
SHIFT + Left FX Select Arrow
→ Target: General
→ Action: Select 2 Decks Pro
SHIFT + Right FX Select Arrow
→ Target: General
→ Action: Select 4 Decks Pro
That gives me:
Left = 2 decks
Right = 4 decks
No cycling through layouts. No looking at the screen to work out which view comes next. Each button combination always takes me directly to the layout I want.
For my workflow, I normally work in 2-deck mode and move into 4 decks when I want access to decks 3 and 4, so having a direct physical shortcut in each direction makes that transition much cleaner.
And because those SHIFT functions were previously unused, I haven’t had to give up another control to do it.
This also complements my previous post:
Mixtour Pro: Direct 4 Deck Volume Control, No Layer Switching
That setup was SDDE 2+2 — Simple Direct Deck Engagement.
This one is SDVS 2↔4 — Simple Direct View Switching.
SDDE 2+2 = direct physical volume control for all four decks.
SDVS 2↔4 = direct physical access to the 2-deck and 4-deck views.
Two unused SHIFT controls, now doing something useful.
Small mapping change, but a noticeably faster Mixtour Pro workflow.
