Music randomly speeding up plus Issues

I still have the issue, even on latest version 5.26

sync bug.mp4

I hope some of the links work

Thanks for the video @Akrilovy. This is very helpful. I’ve shared it with engineering. Were you running any other background applications or task when this happened in the video?

Major applications like chrome were closed. Only telegram was running. And when it started to happen i closed most other apps and started playing again, but that did not help. Only application restart seems to fix it, apart from disabling sync

Thanks @Akrilovy. Also please double check that you don’t have anything playing on decks 3/4. To break it down further, can you please try to reproduce it without the FLX4 connected as well? If that works, it would also be worth testing with the FLX4 connected but audio output via the Mac’s built-in speakers.

Nothing was playing on decks 3/4. As for using without controllers I’ll try next time I encounter this issue to disconnect the controller and change the output to sound card. It doesn’t happen every day, so just playing from keyboard would take forever to encounter it

Sounds good. Thanks for the additional info.

I already mentioned this issue, but not sure if this is the same topic. regardless, I believe this is relevant.
Two videos. First - no sync - expected behaviour

second is if I use sync. it miscalculates the BPM by 50%, that is happening a lot

this is same 5.2.6 version.

Hi @Akrilovy, please try switching to Straight BPM for this song instead of Dynamic BPM.

If this is happening for a lot of your music, then you can default to using Straight BPM for your entire library if you prefer. Go to the djay Settings>Library>BPM ANALYSIS>Tempo Change Detection and set it to Off (Straight Only).

Hi, I was using straight BPM, it’s just anchor, which corrects the beatgrid for the offset beat. I almost never use dynamic .

Hi @Akrilovy, I’m pretty sure the top track in your video is set to Dynamic BPM based on the yellow BPM indicator on the waveform.

I checked today, it was static but maybe i changed it while investigating before. Cannot confirm now

Can you please retest with Straight BPM and confirm if the issue is still happening?

Right not it’s working correctly, but I’ll keep watching. I believe that it never was set in dynamic. The bpm change is still there on static mode. It only shows because of anchor

Thanks for the follow up. Glad to hear it’s working properly now. Just let me know if the issue returns. Thanks!

Unfortunately, same behavior still
