New apple account, worried about losing all of my cue points

Hello. My original djay pro app was bought years ago from the app store. Recently I changed the apple account on my 2ipads and my iphone as in a few days I will no longer have access to the original account nor the password. Apple support has now told me that any app bought using the original account and needing to be updated will ask me for the that password, so they suggest I delete the app and then reinstall it using the new account. My concern is 1) Will i lose all my cue points if i do that (they’re currently synched to icloud, so any changes I make show on both ipads), 2) I currently have 2 djay apps on my ipads. How do i reinstall the djay pro 1.0.27 as opposed to the newer djay 5.6.4? I’m not a professional dj and I’ve always only used the djay pro 1.0.27 as I’m familiar and happy with it. Thank you. I would appreciate a quick response as time is limited.

Hi @nirmiet, welcome to the Community!

  1. Your cue points, loops, My Collection playlists and other metadata are all stored in the djayMediaLibrary database file. You can use the Files App on your iOS devices to back this up to an external drive or to your iCloud Drive. On iOS you can find the database in On My iPad>djay>User Data
  2. We no longer support djay Pro 1. I believe the only way to download older versions of apps purchased through the App Store is through the original Apple Account. Since you are changing your Apple Account, you won’t be able to access the legacy download.
  3. You may be eligable for an upgrade though:

Thanks for your prompt reply, however I’m not seeing User Data on either of my iPads.

You’re welcome @nirmiet. Maybe it’s a different folder on djay Pro 1. Try searching for djayMediaLibrary. I don’t have access to djay Pro 1 so I can’t check on my setup.
