I experienced the same thing regarding USB ports. Basically, you have to decide in advance if you want to connect an external power source or not. It would be great if the iOS socket could also power the device so you could connect a power supply later if needed. ---

Does anybody have a full list of what Pro features AREN’T unlocked by the Mixtour Pro? I find the list of unlocked features to be a little vague and I’d love some help understanding what FX aren’t included, or if custom playlists are still able to be made without a subscription. I saw Chris\_R’s post about this but now that some people have had their hands on the Mixtour Pro for a little while I would love an updated list. ---

Hi @bogdalene, I don’t have an official list, but this is what I see when connecting a Mixtour Pro to an iPad. **Not unlocked are:** - Looper Mode - One Deck Mode - Video Mode - All Sound FX except for the “Essentials” category - All Crossfader FX except for Fade and Filter - All Sample and Looper Packs except for the basics - Playlists: You cannot make Playlists in “My Collection” I hope that helps. ---

I’m a big fan of the Mixtour Pro, but I’m not entirely sold on it being a “pro” level device, even though Laidback Luke makes it work. It really depends on your mixing style and what kind of DJ you are. I’m not hating on it, but if you want to incorporate techniques like scratching or fast tricks, it can be pretty challenging—if not impossible. For instance, in Laidback Luke’s older sets, he includes baby scratches, which would be impossible to pull off with this controller. You also need to invest some time to get used to all the functions and shortcuts, as you’ll rely on muscle memory during your mixes. I managed to get comfortable with it in about an hour or two. Personally, I prefer using my MacBook Pro with it, as DJing on a phone can be a bit frustrating, but that’s just my take. The build quality is solid, but I did notice some creaking sounds when pressing the sides, which was a bit off-putting. The knobs (EQ, volume, etc.) also feel a little tight, which might be too rigid for some users. For me, it’s perfect for small events since I don’t need to haul around a larger controller. I can easily throw it in a bag, and it’s great for DJing on the couch or in bed—definitely a bonus! While it may not be my primary controller, it certainly holds its own as a portable option. I’ve worked with various software like standalones, Rekordbox, Serato, and Traktor, and I’m a huge Serato fan. I think DJay Pro AI is really impressive and will only improve over time. A few features I wish it had: - The ability to swap out knobs and faders for aftermarket options. - Dedicated buttons for beat jump—I’ve mapped this myself, but it’s crucial for quick mixing. - Hot cue pads that are clicky like the transport buttons and a bit softer to the touch. Overall, I really enjoy the Mixtour Pro and find myself using it more than I expected! Highly recommend. ---

But I’m still experiencing what you describe. At first I was hoping that this was perhaps an isolated case, but now I increasingly believe that this is a general problem in production. And at this price, that simply shouldn’t be the case. ---

Hi all, Just picked my MIXTOUR PRO up (UK) as there was finally one store willing to demo the product. Ive heard mixed reception on the build quality so i really had to have look. The unit is solid itself. The “chrome” pieces are a little janky but are still solid and lead me to believe they will last some hard FX labour. There is a little creak from the plastic on the side but nothing i would be worried about (it bends inwards slightly but doesnt give the impression of detatchment). For reference it feels somewhere between neumark, native instruments and korg for build quality. Plastic but confident plastic. I digress, i actually am writing this to prevent people getting very disappointed. On my M2 Mac, when using the Mac speakers and headphone cue mix on the MIXTOUR, there was a lot of timecode sync errors causing distortion and bitcrusher type effects in the headphones. Here is the fix: Apple Aggregate Audio → Set Mixtour Pro to Clock Master. Ive already given Algoriddm the feedback that should have been printed somewhere as it is a known issue with Mac audio drivers (and wont be fixed). Ive also given Reloop feedback that they really should’ve nailed the build quality if they want to be taken seriously in the market. It doesnt feel like a toy… but it aint battle worthly like a DJM mixer or even a cheap Pioneer controller. And Reloop need to sort their lead times out too, poor Luke was promoting this back in July when it wasnt even off the factory floor yet haha. In conclusion, the unit is cool. I will see in time where it fits in my DJ stuff. I use DJay and Rekordbox independently but around 60/40 atm (with Pioneer devices) so id love to see if this pushes me more into the DJay space. I also will be using Apple products moving forward (because 15 years of Microsoft/Android has finished me) so maybe DJay with MIXTOUR and iPhone will be the one… we shall see 🙂 ---

Hi @E_Flem, if you switch to **4 Decks** view mode in djay, you can set the crossfader to **Thru** for each deck. so anyone went to clubs with this thing? how the sound quality? i see that this thing had huge price drop recently,now its 350€ which is a price of one solid gig is it worth it? ---

I haven’t used mine on a big sound system yet, but I’m certainly happy with the sound quality, powerful feature set and small form factor. I’ve seen a lot of videos of Laidback Luke using it on huge festival systems as well. Although, he also did sets on the original Mixtour so perhaps not the best gauge… ---
