1. when pressing Play on deck 3, it automatically sets the crossfader to THRU, even if you have set it do LEFT. It automatically turns to LEFT again, when you pause it. Problem doesn’t occur if you hit CUE.
   This was easily fixed by adjusting the controller mapping in the software (this wrong mapping is there on de end of the list)
2. this is the really bad news: It’s not possible to work with the “second layer” of pad modes. In Serato PRO, if you hit SHIFT+CUE, you get into the Pitch Play pad mode and the CUE button starts to flash; hitting SHIFT + AUTO LOOP, you get into ROLL pad mode and the AUTO LOOP button starts to flash, and so on.

I heard back from engineering and they were able to reproduce #1 as you described. They will investigate this issue further and I’ll share more news when I have it.

Regarding #2, this is expected behavior with this controller when paired with djay. Unfortunately, this hardware does not send separate MIDI messages when pressing Shift+Pad Modes so we cannot currently implement this in djay.

Hi, @Slak_Jaw . Thanks for the reply, but I think your engineers didn’t test it well.

When pressing HOT CUE, for example, NO MIDI SIGNAL IS SHOWED on the midi mapping toll. On the other side, when pressing SHIFT + HOT CUE, the midi mapping tool show an assignable midi command to be mapped.

I’d really appreciate if you contact them again. If you see the previous messagens on this topic, you will see that the SHIFT + PAD MODES are midi commands to be assigned by the mapping tool. I tested it, and another user have said the same thing.

As I said before, @hardbea7 , if we can’t work with the additional 4 pad modes, it seems we’re only dealing with a more expensive Mixtrack Platinum FX…

And the answer from the engineering team was very dissapointing too. I looks like they didn’t even turn the controller on. How could I manage to see that the <shift+pad mode> sends a midi signal and they didn’t?

I’m almost trying to sell the unit for someone who uses Serato… I don’t want to use it because I prefer using the ipad, it’s much more “mobile”, let’ say. And I already have the DJAY PRO subscription, don’t want to change the app I’m used to .
