A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE: I usually update my Key info within Djay software on MacOS and then transfer the database from my Mac to my iPad and IPhone, with no problems. Why is it that if i use Onelibrary for this, the Onelibrary that has been transferred from my MacOS to iPadOS on Djay needs to read analyse and change all the info that has been changed on the Mac version to what seems to be like key info being read again on iPad? Wouldn’t it make sense for Onelibrary to take the library and make an identical copy for iPad and iPhone with my edited key info from Mac being included as part of the info being shared across devices?

It just doesn’t make sense to have key info different on my Mac to what it is on my iPad because Onelibrary wont copy over the data as it is in the library after time has been spent on changing info

Also, I’d like to make sure I understand your workflow correctly:

  1. By “key info”, I assume you are talking about the music Key column in the library?
  2. It sounds like you might be manually editing the analyzed Key in djay on macOS (ex. changing it from 1A to 3A via R-Click menu or double-click). Please confirm.
  3. So your normal process is to manually copy the djayMediaLibrary database from macOS to iOS. With this workflow, the manual Key changes you made are maintained.
  4. However, if instead you use OneLibrary to export your songs to a USB drive and then read that drive on iOS, when loading the songs the Key is being re-analyzed and your Key edits are essentially undone?

I followed this exact procedure myself on macOS 26.2, iOS 26.2 and djay 5.6.2. For me, the edited Keys remain unchanged when I load the songs from the USB Library source on iOS and also if I import these OneLibrary songs into My Collection. Please note that I enabled “Overwrite existing djay cues and loops” when I did the import process.

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
