Output to iPod dock and cue via headphone socket?

Hi,

I have a stereo that has an ipod dock connector. Is there any way to use the 30-pin ipad connector as a stereo output (using a 30-pin male to female lead) AND simultaneously use the ipads headphone output for cueing? I can get the ipad to output the stereo mix via this lead but it cuts the headphone output.

Hi Damian,

This depends on your iPod dock. Generally speaking, djay for iPad supports pre-cueing with multiple audio devices.

But, for this feature, you need an audio interface. Some docks only use the line out via the 30-pin connector and this doesn’t work.
