Pioneer Wego/DJay connection issues

I just got the original Pioneer Wego and I connected it to my iPad Air (running iOS 9.3.4) but it doesn’t seem to connect with DJay. I am using a WeCai cable, a regular portable charger and a camera connection kit for connecting the Wego.

Thank you for sharing. Could you see if your setup is sending midi signals?
Therefore, download “midi wrench” with your iPad and see if the controller is communicating with your iPad.

Hi, here is my setup. The white cord is usually in the iPad but I used the iPad to take the photo.

Hi,
There doesn’t seem to be any response from midi wrench. I also tested a midi keyboard that I have and that didn’t seem to work either. I am wondering if the white cord that goes into the iPad is faulty as it is not a certified apple product and I have heard that non Apple cords may sometimes not work.
