Protect on-screen Jogwheel/Waveform when using controller

Hi everyone,

I’m changed my original question into this feature request, since — as confirmed by Algoriddim support — it’s currently not possible to protect or disable interaction with the on-screen jogwheel and waveform only when a controller is connected.

Here is the case:
During live sets, especially in busy or high-pressure situations, I sometimes accidentally touch the waveform or jogwheel on the Laptop screen using the mouse or touchpad — for example when quickly searching, adjusting something, or switching views. This can cause the playing track to suddenly slow down, jump, or stop – which is obviously a problem during a performance.

It would be great to have an option that prevents interaction with the jogwheel and waveform on screen when a controller is connected. Other UI buttons (like sound, effects, play, cue, stop, loop, etc.) can stay active — that’s less of an issue. But I’d love to have a “safe mode” to avoid accidental touches on these sensitive controls when things get hectic.

Thanks for considering it!

Hi @DJ_Big_Blender, currently there is no way to disable this. Seems like a good suggestion though. I’ll change this from a Question to a Suggestion and let the devs know. Thanks!

Alright,

Thanks for that. I changed “disabling” to “protecting” in the title because the feature should still work – I just don’t want it to be affected by accidental touches with the cursor.

Also I’ve updated the original post to clearly mark this as a feature request, now that it’s confirmed by that this isn’t currently possible.

Again: please vote for it in the upper left “Vote box”.
