RANE Performer Color FX / Filter Issue

Hi everyone,

I just got a RANE Performer and hooked it up with djay Pro. I noticed two things and wanted to check if anyone else has experienced the same.

First, the Noise FX does not seem to work independently (combination of Filter and Noise) like it does well in Serato. It only triggers when the track is playing.

Second, I’m noticing some drift when using a 4-beat loop with Sync disabled, but only when the motor is enabled. When I disable the motor, the drift does not happen. I also do not experience this issue with my DDJ-REV7.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior with the Performer and djay Pro?

I’m also experiencing this drift issue, but mine occurs on all DJ controllers.

I’m using a 2015 MacBook Pro with a Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM.
DJAY Pro version 5.6.4

And even then, the dynamic BPM function doesn’t allow you to create like in Serato… here it only allows you to detect areas of variation, yet if it allowed creation, it would be incredible for creativity.

Thanks for the video @ThunderZzz. This clarifies things. I have passed this onto our engineering team to see if they can reproduce it on their setup and offer and suggestions. I’ll report back when I have news. Thanks!

The looping/drift issue has already been shared in another channel so let’s focus this one on the FX/Filter issue.

Hi @ThunderZzz, our engineering team was able to reproduce Color FX / Filter issue. They are investigating further.
