Recordings not draggable on Windows

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE: When trying to drag my recorded songs they don’t drag at all and don’t load

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE: allow recorded songs to be draggable and load

C) EXPECTED RESULTS: all recorded songs can be draggable and play

D) ACTUAL RESULTS: when trying to drag any of my recorded songs that I own (non streaming songs as they have to be ones you own) they don’t load no wavelength or sound on any deck I can only play the songs or mix of songs from the audio menu where you record from they will not drag and load this only seems to be an issue on windows

  1. What file format are your songs?
  2. Are the songs stored on your internal drive or an external drive?
  3. If on an external drive, what drive format are you using?
  4. What library source are you using in djay?

The songs files are stored on my internal drive the library source is iTunes I use music from the mashup as well 320kbs but the majority of my songs are from Apple Music I get them on

AAC that’s the one yes I just double checked

  1. Can you please double check your djay version number at the bottom of the djay Settings window? The latest available public version should be 5.6.1.

Sorry Slak_Jaw you are right i typed the wrong number that for something else mine is in the same place as the picture and the same number 5.6.1. thanks for helping me find my version number

i can load the songs like in the picture but not for my recorded songs if you give me one second i will screenshot my screen just getting used to a new laptop thanks for your patience

Thanks Slak_Jaw i put a video in the edit on my post you cant see me trying to drag the recorded file but it just won’t let me drag or load recoprded file

I see what you’re talking about now. In the drop-down menu select Show in Explorer. Then you can drag a drop from Windows Explorer onto a deck.

Alternatively, you can select the My Files source in the library and add the folder that contains your djay recordings (%HOMEPATH%>Music>djay>Recordings). Then you can load your recordings from there.

awesome now i can record my hour mixes just one more detail do i delete the post now as its not a bug just me not understanding the files or do i just keep this post open thx gonna leave a review now
