Relink for iOS & Android

Greetings, colleagues.

All musical content is stored on the local memory of the mobile device.

Upon transferring the database file from macOS to the mobile device, it was observed that all tracks became unaccessible, failing to load.

Indeed, on the MacOS operating system, the files are stored in disparate folders.

It is now necessary to re-enter all tracks into the library on the mobile device. It is necessary to navigate to the respective folders, select all tracks, and perform additional actions for each folder.

The DJay Pro 5 for macOS operating system offers an option that is designated as “Relink.” This tool is remarkably useful, particularly in facilitating the transfer of files between iOS and macOS operating systems.

It is imperative that Relink for iOS be developed. Therefore, it is sufficient to select a single folder on the mobile device, such as the Music folder, and the Djay Pro 5 application will automatically relink all the content.

Upon completion of the Relink process, a comprehensive report is generated. This report meticulously documents the elements that have been successfully reconnected and those that remain unconnected.

Thanks for the suggestion! Good idea. As usual, I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration.

Hi @feierlaune, we don’t have any news to share at this time.

These are some of my music files located in my “Files”.
In My Collection they are grayed out.
I looked and looked in the forums and in the latest manual.
I don’t see anywhere on how to do this.
I could manually add one folder at a time, but that’s going to take days.
It’s easy to find and use on a Mac, but on iOS it doesn’t exist.
This request will help a lot.
Thanks in advance.

The " files" section on iOS cannot read multiple folders.
At this moment in time you would need your files in a singular folder.
Alternatively use the new “one library” feature or itunes.

If you have thousands and thousands of files you must forget using the “files” app on iOS.
IOS doesn’t like separate music files and even the latest most powerful models cannot cope with a large volume.
I’m not a fan of iTunes at all but it will work better at transferring your music should you have a lot

Hi @DJ_Chris_Argueta, I’ve merged your new topic with this existing suggestion. Please vote above. Thanks!

Thank you for your suggestion but that’s a work around.
What you are saying is that this is currently a handicap with iOS version of djay.
Well, if it’s a known issue, it should be addressed.
I’m not reporting a bug, I’m asking for a feature request.
If MacOS can have a “Relink Missing Files” so should iOS djay.
