Same Music Files across DJAY AND Rekordbox?

Hi All.

Is it possible to use the same audio files across both DJAY AI & Rekordbox, or will the different metadata relating to each confuse?

I.e. do you need different files of the same song to avoid issues? I understand cue points, loops etc won’t transfer, that’s fine, I’m willing to set Rekordbox up from scratch with the cue tones for it, but I don’t want to lost those already relating to DJAY or cause issues across both.

Anyone have experience of this? I use FLAC files via Mixed In Key for renaming titles. Thanks!

Hi @Dan_096,

You should be just fine and do not have to use duplicates of the same track when switching between softwares.
