Search/Preview with Info Pane Issue

• Device model: 2020 M1 Macbook Air
• Version of operating system: Sequoia 15.7
• Version of djay: 5.5
• Hardware/controllers used: Laptop Keyboard

Summary of the issue:

• if a track is loaded in the Info pane
• and I search for 2nd track and preview it with the mouse
• the preview player will zero out 00:00 ↔ 00:00 and clear the info pane

How to reproduce the issue:

1. Search for a track
2. Select the track so it loads into the Info pane
3. Search for a 2nd track
4. Preview the 2nd track with the mouse

Example:

1. Here, I search for “Whisper” while “Axel F” is loaded in the Info pane.
   

   

2. When I preview “Careless Whisper” (with the mouse), the preview player will zero out 00:00 ↔ 00:00 and clear the info pane.

Sorry for the delayed reply @Michael_Wisniewski. Thanks for the details and screenshots. I was able to replicate this on my Mac running djay 5.5 and macOS 26.0.1. I have escalated this to our engineering team for further analysis. I’ll report back when I have news.

Hi again @Michael_Wisniewski, our engineering team was also able to reproduce this. In the meantime,

• The pre-cue issue can be recovered by clicking anywhere in the UI to dismiss the preview popover, then click on the play preview button again for the same track.
• The issue of the info panel being cleared can be recovered by re-selecting the previously selected track.
