Either get music reactive lights (not so fancy, but much less work) or I think you can use Ableton Link to integrate it with some specialist lighting software.

I use vibrio on a second iPad and dmxking device connected to an old Apple airport in a separate network. Works ok, but itā€™s a bit hard to get stuff synced to music so this is my way of saying ā€œfollowingā€ :slight_smile:

Writing to share that djay works with SoundSwitch via Ableton Link, so the current playback tempo can be transferred to SoundSwitch in order to sync the lighting.

In the meantime, stay assured that weā€™ll be posting updates regarding this as soon as they are available.

Iā€™ve been testing Traktor with Ableton link + Rane One in DVS mode to see how it would fair with SoundSwitch.

It only sends bpm information is what I found so. What I also did was map the buttons in standalone mode to SoundSwitch.

So what this does is if I hit a cue point, etc. The colors will change but keep in sync via ableton link.

I havenā€™t tried this in DJAY just yet because Iā€™m playing with the iOS version currently.

I will have to test this with my Rane One and Control One + Ableton Link.

I will need to get a dual port lighting to usb adapter.

My dual usb to lightning adapter shows up today. Now based on my use of SoundSwitch, here is the problem.

If youā€™re using SoundSwitch on a Mac, you can link SS and DJAY together via Ableton Link.

On iOS Iā€™m going to test it with my Control One since the adapter can be powered as well.

A mobile version of SoundSwitch will be needed. Then you could do the same via Ableton Link on iOS between DJAY and SoundSwitch.

All the testing for DJAY Pro AI is going to be on my iPhone 13.

Sent in a couple technical questions to SoundSwitch.

  1. Can the Control One have a Standalone Mode with Ableton Link support via firmware upgrade?
  2. If not, would a SoundSwitch Mobile (iOS) version be considered?

Please! Seems like a no brainer for this market segment. Maybe even a marketing campaign partnership.

The new real-time ā€œAIā€ audio isolation is cool, but lighting makes a show.

Bump to say that, even though the new DJay 5.0 is fantastic, the ONE thing keeping me from making DJay my main software is the lack of full SoundSwitch implementation. And not just the Ableton Link thing, I mean full support.

Especially with the amazing beatgrid improvements, it would work so nicely with SS. Please Algoriddim, the people need it :pray:t2: I will be a full time subscriber with just this one feature.

How many people does it take to ACTUALLY make this happen? No, seriouslyā€¦how many? DJAY developers, give us a goal. What will it take to get you to do this? Soundswitch has already said they would love to do it. What will it take on your end for us to make this happen? I am already a full time subscriber but I donā€™t use it full time simply because of this reason. Soundswitch is a true game changer for mobile DJ lighting. DJay 5.0 being released with itā€™s AWESOME beatgrid development, the new VERY clean stems separation, and cool crossfader changes is truly amazing. Donā€™t you think you could put the nail in the coffin with Soundswitch integration? If you want it to be a PRO solution, give us the PRO feature we are BEGGING for.

+Vote. There is a lot of activity in this thread, but the votes do not reflect it. Everyone please vote this up, if you would like to see SS support. Next we will need to get SS running on iPads for us mobile users.
