STEM Split delay on RANE 4

When I use The Stem split function on the Rane 4, there’s an OBVIOUS interruption in the song.
When the song interrupts, there’s a quick silence, the vocals play only, then the track comes back on.

At first I thought I had the volume of the two channels different, but I didn’t.
Then I thought it was my board, when I use Serato, there isn’t an issue.
Then I tried it on a fellow dj’s Rane 4 and got the same result.
How can this be fixed? It’s it a software update that is needed?

I’d like to figure that out also. Same issue with my four.

Same here. Use the last firmware on Rane 4 and DJay Pro 5.24.

Hi everyone,

Sorry to see that you’ve been experiencing this issue as of late.

Are all of you finding this issue on the latest version of djay, v5.2.4?

Additionally, what firmware/software version of the RANE FOUR are you all using and what version of macOS?

Thanks!

  • Device model Mac Air M2
  • Version of operating system macOS 15
  • Version of djay 5.2.4
  • Hardware/controllers used Rane 4 - FW 1.7.08

Hi there, could you do a video to show the issue. I think I’ve had similar with Rev 5 stem splitting. Not as smooth as Serato. Not a clean split, which makes the split a bit jumpy. I use IOS, with iPad Pro 12.9 5th edition.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know that our engineering team is aware of this bug and is looking into any and all possible resolutions for it at this time.

We will update this thread as new information comes in.

Thanks!

Do we have any news for this bug?

Do we have any news for this bug?

Hi @Pedro_B, we don’t have any news to share on this except that our engineering team is still working on it. We’ll share news here when we have it. Thanks!

The stem-split bug on RANE 4 still persists in this version (5.2.8).

One year and no response regarding this bug.

Hi All, did any Rane Four/Performer users manage to get around this

I’m having this trouble on my Rane Four and I’ve so far not found anyway around this issue, works flawlessly on Serato so something in the DJP software, would love to manage to sort this

Cheers
