Switching “Shift Lock” button to “ON” doesn’t work with my Beatpad! Still crackles and popping noises.

Hello there, the Firmware update won’t help. Meanwhile Reloop detected a hardware issue and provides a hardware update. Your retailer should be informed about this. Contact them! After the update there’s no issue anymore and the Beatpad to me is pure fun. Current firmware you will find here under “Downloads”:
I found that switching the ‘Shift Lock’ button (On rear of Reloop Beatpad) to ‘On’ stopped all the crackles and popping for me. Prior to that I experienced the Crackles and pops almost continuously, even with out a device connected to the Beatpad.

Just got the Beatpad, and Much static cracks
Devices: iPad Air 64gb and iOS 7.0.4
Software: djay 2 V2.2.1
It happend randomly with any song: Yes.
I notice that it happend more when using several effect (fx, sampler,…)
When I play only on the Ipad there is no problem!
I can’t find the firmware, please help!
