Subscription disappeared from IOS app

i only renewed my subscription in July this year, worked fine then my iOS app is saying I have no subscription.

What has happened?

Hi @Htidloam, welcome to the Community! Nothing’s been lost — that renewal email is from the Microsoft Store, so your PRO subscription sits with your Microsoft account on Windows. iOS won’t pick it up on its own; a subscription only carries to another platform once it’s been linked to your djay account. Signing into the djay account on the iPad alone won’t do it — the linking has to happen on the device where you bought it.

On your Windows PC:

  1. Open djay Pro and go to Settings > My djay Account.
  2. Sign in with the same account shown in your second screenshot (the hotmail one). That links the Microsoft subscription to your djay account.
  3. If PRO isn’t active on Windows either, tap Restore Purchases there first, signed into the same Microsoft account you originally purchased with.

Then back on the iPad, sign out of Settings > My djay > My djay Account and sign in again to refresh it. I hope that helps!

thank you.

i have now logged back in on my windows machine, it said expired. clicked restore purchase and the windows machine is now working ok.

however the ipad still says “subscription expired” despite relogging back in.

You’re welcome @Htidloam. Glad you were able to restore purchases on your Windows device. The order matters here, and that’s likely what’s tripping the iPad up: you signed into your djay account on the PC while the subscription still read as expired, so that’s the status it linked. Restoring afterwards fixed Windows locally but the account is probably still holding the stale state.

On the PC, now that PRO is active:

  1. Go to Settings > My djay Account and sign out.

  2. Sign back in with the same account. This re-links, with the subscription showing as active this time.

Then force-quit djay on the iPad, reopen it, and sign out and back into Settings > My djay > My djay Account.

Worth noting the iPad’s wording changed from “No subscription” to “subscription expired” — that means it is now reading something from your djay account, just outdated. That’s progress.

One thing to skip: Restore Purchases on the iPad won’t do anything for you, since that looks for an Apple ID purchase and yours was bought through Microsoft.

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
