Sync playlists to My collection

Platform: MacOs

I export part of my collection to Onelibrary, to be used on an Xdj-Az. I like to manage my playlists in Itunes / Music app while I could automate it using Apple script. I also tried automating playlist management directly in the Djay database, but for some reason this database looks overcomplicated with lots of duplicate data, maybe I will look into it later again, but for now stopped with it. To create the Onelibrary export, I need to get my Itunes playlists into ‘My collection‘ first. This a rather error prone and time consuming step, while I have a lot of playlists.

My idea, right click an Itunes playlist, or playlist folder and have a new option ‘Sync to my collection‘. Then the same playlist or folder shows up in ‘My collection‘ as read only. maybe it could have a different colour, or when you hover over it, it states ‘Managed by itunes‘. When adding or removing tracks from the playlists it should reflect in the ‘My collection’ as well. It is fine if a Djay restart is required, this is only for prepping. Then I could directly export to One library without having to do the ‘sync dance‘

Thanks for the suggestion @EwoutdeBoer - good idea! I’ll share this with the dev team for consideration.

Basically copy the Sync Manager from rekordbox.
