You’re welcome @Scott1! I’m usually here 7 days a week.
When you get a chance, please confirm if the issue only happens with your DJ hardware connected and please test some different USB cables and a different USB port on your Mac. I’ll pass all of this onto our hardware engineering team tomorrow for further review as well. Have a great rest of you weekend as well!
Ok, as I honestly figured - No hardware attached and Djay acts as it should. Shockingly wonderful without hardware actually. No slippage (well put btw Slak as I couldn’t come up with a better way to say it! haha).
So I went a little further. I also tried it with a non-motorized controller and it also worked as it should. So, maybe we are dealing with some sort of drifting problem.
I plugged the Rane One MKII back up and changed the RPM speed from 33 to 45. This seemed to help in the limited time I tried it. I am going to spend more time with this later tonight and also changing the torque from low to high. So many variables! Will report back, but changing from 33 to 45 RPM might be something. Will see. Thanks!
Thanks for the additional info @Scott1. I had a feeling this was directly related to the motorized platters. I have passed this onto our engineering team to see if they can reproduce it. I’ll report back when I have news. Thanks!
Hi again @Scott1, turns out that our engineering team is already aware of this issue and they’re working on a fix which should be released in an upcoming update (likely 5.6.3).
In the meantime, the workaround is to disable Instant Start Motorized Controllers.
Back to report. Sadly, this did not correct the problem. Thanks for trying! I hope there’s something else maybe they’re working on to fix it. I can only say that it maybe, slightly lessened it. Maybe. Still did it a couple of times in a ten minute period. Thank you again for the efforts!
You’re welcome. Sorry to hear the workaround didn’t help you. As stated above the team is working on a proper fix which should be released in an upcoming update. Thanks.
