A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

  • The track freezes on the left/right deck! It feels like the internet is disconnecting! Although everything is fine! And the track loads completely at the top! I use Tidal Stream! I tried restarting everything, but the problem remains.

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:

Hi @Polyura,

  1. Please try logging out of Tidal within djay and all standalone Tidal apps and browsers on all of your devices.
  2. Then close djay and perform a Forced Restart of your iPad: Force restart iPad - Apple Support (IE)
  3. After restarting, launch djay and only log into Tidal from within the djay app.

I did everything as you said, terrible glitches!

Beatport same!

Looks like a WiFi issue.

  1. What Streaming Quality are you using in the djay Library Settings?
  2. Are you using a VPN?
  3. Are you downloading anything in the background for another app or doing an iCloud backup?

No vpn ! No download! Anything! Only djay pro!

Try a lower streaming quality setting

Okay, I’ll give it a shot! I have an idea to play some quality music) I’ll pay extra for that! But I’ll test it out!

Please also perform a WiFi speed test on your iPad and share a screenshot of the results.

I recommend you use a lower streaming quality setting.

But I’ve never had that) if I lower the quality, it will be noticeable(

Well, the only other thing I can suggest is a fresh djay installation. I recommend that you first backup your djay Media Library database and any custom MIDI mappings, then uninstall djay, reboot your device, and reinstall the latest version of djay from the official App Store.

You can find the files above in the following location on iOS: using the Files App, navigate to Locations->On My iPhone/iPad->djay->User Data

Copy the files to a new location or external drive before uninstalling djay. After reinstallation, you can simply copy these files back to their original locations to maintain your Hot Cues, Saved Loops, My Collection Playlists, History and Queue.

Nevertheless, it’s worth a try, then you might be able to narrow it down (although I don’t think it has anything to do with bandwidth). So far, you’ve just been lucky that it hasn’t happened to you, because the problem is not new. Unfortunately, it happens from time to time, even after restarting or reinstalling the app. However, the problem seems to be limited to Tidal.

I think it happened after updating iPAD or after updating djay! Before that, I didn’t have a single glitch!

But beatport have same problem!
