  1. download track

  2. browse to folder on phone

  3. Song greyed out

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • song should load

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:

Hi @Stephen_Carroll, thanks for the detailed info and screenshot.

  1. Where are you downloading the songs from?
  2. Are you able to play these same songs using a different music player app on your device?

Beatport downloads.

And yep other players play it fine.

I’ve just gone through some others and they seem to be all from the same label.

Hmmm… interesting. Likely a region related streaming restriction. I recommend you contact Beatport Customer Support and share the specific label and tracks you’re having issues with.

Streaming? He says he downloaded it, and you can see on the screenshots it’s 44.1kHz MP3 320kbps (as he also stated in post #1).

Sorry @Stephen_Carroll, I forgot to confirm if you are also using Beatport Streaming on your Android device. In some cases, djay may pull the streaming version of a track instead of the downloaded version if the song name and artist are the same.

Thanks for confirming that they play on iOS. This is helpful information.

Thanks for pointing out the downloaded vs streaming @PKtheDJ.

All tracks are downloaded and play locally.

Yes, I understand that @Stephen_Carroll. My question is if you also have the Beatport Streaming Source enabled on your Android device or not.

I did.

So I disabled all but files and still the same issue.

Thanks for confirming @Stephen_Carroll. With the Beatport Steaming Source still disabled, can you please try closing djay, deleting the song from your device, rebooting your device and downloading the song again?

StIll the same.

Even moved them into a different folder.

Very strange. I haven’t been able to reproduce this on my Android setup so I’m going to pass this onto our engineering team to see if they can replicate it. Thanks!

I sent one of the files to another android device and the same happened.

Would it help if I sent one of the files?

Yes, @Stephen_Carroll, please upload a couple of the files you’re having issue with to your Dropbox/Google Drive, enable sharing permissions, then share the link with me via DM.

Link sent

Added a .m4a track that does the same.

Files received and forwarded to engineering for review. Thanks @Stephen_Carroll

Same issue, can’t find any common point between greyed tracks. Only solution is to re-browse them in files navigator, but still grayed in history or queue after restart…

Veryyy annoying
