Anybody have one of these soundcards installed in a late gen vestax 05 or 08 pro? It’s a 2 channel soundcard. I’m wondering if it’ll work with DVS on djay pro ai.
Hi @TotallyLegit, I don’t think this soundcard will work for DVS - especially on iOS. The TUB-1 is a 2-in/2-out interface, and DVS needs its own stereo input per turntable. With two decks you need four input channels. With the TUB-1 you’d be able to feed timecode from one turntable at best.
Two other things worth knowing before you go hunting for one:
- On iOS, djay only supports class-compliant audio interfaces — no drivers. The TUB-1 shipped with Vestax’s own ASIO drivers for Windows, so I suspect it’s not compatible with iOS devices.
- On the 05 Pro III DX and Pro IV, the USB input is hard-assigned to PGM 1, so even for playback you’re stuck on one channel.
I hope that helps, and if you do end up testing a TUB-1 on this, please report back. Nobody’s documented it and I’d love to know for sure.
