Videos not loading in visualizer after importing a video playlist

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:
I am using DJay as VJ tool and also to create videos of my music through the visualizer (ie audio track and video are separate).

After I created a video playlist (hoping that it would help load videos from my photo library faster) and scanned all videos from My Collection to add them to it, i cannot load any of them in the visualizer, except the ones I had opened before this operation.

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. create a playlist
  2. select add all videos from the My Collection and add them to the playlist
  3. after the items have been analyzed and added to the playlist, load an audio track from the music collection and add a video into the visualizer the from the menu.

C) EXPECTED RESULTS:
video would load into the visualizer while the audio track is playing.

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:
no video loads into the visualizer except the ones that had earlier been loaded.

Here is my answer:

thank you for the welcome and the prompt response to my issue, I really appreciate it.

I have deleted and reinstalled the app since I sent my message and don’t encounter the issue anymore. But I did have to reconfigure Djay from scratch so I prefer not to try to reproduce the issue to make a video. I hope you understand… I
will try to describe the process step by step:

-I created a playlist in the Djay folder as I would do if I wanted to DJ from videos files. (I only use the videos for the visualizer on top of audio files but hoped that it maybe would be making video management easier).
-I imported all my videos into this playlist folder (a process of several minutes with the progress bar).
-Once the import of the videos was completed, they were available from the playlist to DJ but not from the Visualizer browser: they appeared with a thumbnail but nothing happened when I tried to load them into the Visualizer. The only exceptions that would load were the few videos which I had actually loaded into the visualizer earlier.

So there seems to be some kind of bug/conflict with the management of videos.

On that topic: it would be a huge improvement to have full access to the iPhoto library (ie all folders and albums, favorites etc.) but I will create a feature request into the system.
