Waveform and Loop Display on XDJ-AZ (One Library)

Hi,
I own an Alphatheta XDJ-AZ, and yesterday I tried my Djay Pro library (exported to a USB stick) for the first time on my Only One. While the grids, cue points, and all the song info were read perfectly, I encountered two annoying and limiting issues with song playback that I hope you can fix so I no longer have to use Rekordbox.

  1. The waveform for a song (any song) is displayed much smaller and with less defined colors than that of the same song imported with Rekordbox. This makes it difficult to see what’s supposed to happen during the song by looking at the display.
(I’m attaching a photo of me loading the same song from two different USB sticks, one with Rekordbox and the other with Djay Pro).

  2. Loops saved on Djay Pro don’t play automatically like they do on my Mac/iPhone with Djay Pro or with tracks imported with Rekordbox (using Memory Cue). I’ve attached photos.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the additional details @BOBTRICK. Can you please try updating to djay 5.6 which was released today and ensure that you are using the (built-in) MIDI mapping for the XDJ-AZ? Thanks!

I just updated. Very interesting, especially the update for my Pioneer S-11, the display finally works!!! But going back to my Only One, it would have been nice for me to be able to use the USB stick, so with that configuration I wouldn’t have had to bring my MacBook or connect my phone. And what’s more, I could use just one program (DJay) to use all my consoles!!!

Hi again @BOBTRICK, sorry for the delayed reply on this one.

  1. Regarding #1, our engineering team was able to reproduce this and they are investigating further.
  2. Regarding #2, exporting Saved Loops is not supported. You will need to use the new Cue Loops instead: Saved cue points and cue loops | Algoriddim Support
