Why does the Bonjour send clip the wave forms at around 12k?

I tested bonjour from within DJAY and using aunetsend via AULab. aunetsend has data up to 20k, DJAY bonjour clips at 12k, resulting in the loss of most of the high end waveform. Can you advise?

Hi Steven,

djay uses AAC - 32 kbps format. We do not know in details what happens in AULab so the clipping might be just a result of the data compression.

Hi Steven,

No, this cannot be changed in djay 4. I submitted a request to bring this setting back.

Is there anyway to use a higher rate AAC? I believe that earlier versions of DJAY allowed control over the codec, but I cannot find this option in the newest release.
