Hi @goobajogger, I’ve merged your new topic with this existing discussion as I believe they are closely related. Please see above. In the meantime, I will push this topic again with the dev team. Thanks!
+1 for this capability.
I’d love to be able to route the audio from Djay into a connection app like Audiobus or AUM, and then into realtime visualizers like Vythm. This is something we used to be able to do, and I’m baffled as to why it’s no longer supported.
Hi @ealmasy, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the additional input.
Full AUv3 support would be completely next level and would remove the separation between dj sets and livesets.
It would need both options (not simultanously ofc), to act as an AUv3 host as well as the ability to load Djay up as an AUv3 inside other hosts such as AUM. It already works as a host with the ability to load one master fx, but this is so limited compared to what it could really do with all those amazing AUv3 fx and instruments.
There should be a dedicated slot per deck for unlimited AUv3 fx and also the ability to exchange the player with an AUv3 instrument, like a drum machine for example - and of course unlimited master fx. Make all that midi mapable and you have the ultimate dj-daw.
And with Djay as an AUv3 itself hosted in another daw it could be integrated in a liveact environment as well. There are many apps that can both, for example Drambo.
Please add this and revolutionize djing profoundly once again!
P.S. Audiobus is not needed anymore, it is dead.
Thanks for the additional input @axibert
