I have successfully used djay pro on ipad with the Apple HDMI (AV) adaptor, with this device (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Optical-Tosli…) to extract audio from the HDMI stream into L+R phono cables, and then on. This allows me to cue and play in stereo on 2 audio interfaces.
The only trick I needed to play was to put something into the ‘HDMI Out’ port of the audio converter to convince it a display was attached. This adaptor did the job very cheaply (http://www.amazon.co.uk/VicTsing-Gold…)
The only significant cost was the Apple AV adaptor.
