30 pin RCA to projector help

I have Vjay and an iPad 3 (30 pin) running ios 8. if I buy a composite RCA to 30 pin cable, will that show ALL of the vjay deck on my projector or just the “output” screen .

I want to send the final mix to my projector but not have it show all the controls, the next cued video etc.

next question…with IOS 8, do I HAVE TO use the official cable or will a cheap ebay one do?

We recommend to buy the Griffin DJ Cable. We can’t guarantee that a cheap cable bought on eBay will work the same…
