Ableton link on 2 computers

When trying to link 2 pc with Ableton sync option it does not work if the DJ app is not working (link option on). To be Crystal clear, 2 Macbook, 1 running the DJ app and the other running Ableton. The MAC running the DJ app cannot link the other MAC running Ableton if we don’t lunch another DJ app on the same computer.

I have the same bug with Ableton 11 and 12.

guide for a single computer configuration

I’m trying to use djay pro with ableton link for ableton. I can get the bpm sync to work where ableton is the master, however I’m trying to set djay pro as the master.

I’ve launched djay pro first and then ableton second, however ableton remains the master.

Does anyone know how I can get djay pro to be the master bpm?

Hi @ctdfuk, please use search before creating new topics. I’ve merged yours with this existing one. Please refer to the links above. Thanks.

Link doesn’t have a master.

“anyone can start and stop their part; or start and stop multiple Link-running applications at the same time. And anyone can adjust the tempo and the rest will follow”

Thanks all. The challenge is that it’s not being set by djay pro as the last tempo used.
