Activating multiple FX on Mixtour Pro

Does anyone know if it’s possible to activate multiple FX with the paddle on the Mixtour Pro, similar to how it can be done on the Mixon 8 where they can be enabled in the FX section prior to using the paddle.

Hi @Ben4, you can’t do this via the Mixtour Pro hardware directly with the built-in MIDI mapping. However, I can think of a couple of workarounds for this:

  1. Manually press the onscreen “ON” buttons for FX Unit 2 and 3 while you have the FX paddle engaged.
  2. Create an edit of the (built-in) MIDI mapping and remap some buttons that you aren’t using to FX 2 Enabled and FX 3 Enabled for Deck 1 and Deck 2

If you’re not familiar with MIDI mapping in djay on iOS, please refer to the linked FAQ below: https://help.algoriddim.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016055199-How-do-I-MIDI-map-a-controller-on-djay-for-iOS

Thanks Slak as usual!

I cannot figure out how to select which Manual fx i want the mixtour dry/wet, amount, and paddle buttons to control. For both channels it will only control the far left Fx.

Also when you bounce loops, but how do select the nueral/s you want bounced?

Hi @jltrulock, I’ve merged your topic with this existing one. The built-in mapping only controls FX Unit 1. Please see above for more details.

When you say manual press the on screen on buttons I am not sure if i follow what you are doing other than keeping them on.

Hi @jltrulock, I mean press the onscreen “ON” buttons for FX Unit 2 and 3 while you have the FX paddle engaged as shown below:

In the manual about the fx paddle

  1. FX PADDLES
Use the FX Paddles (12) to activate the previously selected effect. The effect is switched off in the centre position. If you
lock the paddle in the forward position, the effect will remain on until you return the paddle to the centre position. If you
only want to use the effect temporarily, you can retract the paddle for the desired effect duration. Then, when you release
the FX Paddle, it will automatically return to the centre position.

and I must be missing something on midi mapping, the shift isn’t mapped but it works, and while mapping it starts locking up.

I’m not trying to turn them all on at the same time. I am just turn them on. Without having toi click so much on a screen.

If i map a CC or sliger I get the option to Select an FX, but It changes FX and the amount and doesn’t actually make it active.

Hi @jltrulock, thanks for the clarification. In that case, if you want SHIFT + FX Paddle to control the Manual FX 2 Enable, make sure you change the Button Mode to Hold. This should allow you to enable FX1 OR FX2 using the hardware controls.
