Currently the “Active Deck” is only determined by the crossfader. Most of my Time I’m not even using my crossfader or it’s in the middle it would be nice if the “Active Deck” is not only determined by the Crossfader and instead on which deck is the current music is running.
I have the same problem. In my case, the solution would be to make the active deck “the last deck to which a song was loaded”. This way, I could use all my key mapping without having to manually change the active deck (which is visually not indicated).
Ah. I understand. I just tested it and it’s working. When the crossfader is centered, the active deck appears in the history when you stop the previous song.
As you all probably know the improved active deck selection works great! But unfortunately, since that improvement was introduced in version 5.3, the previous workaround—selecting the desired deck by pointing the crossfader—no longer works.
I used that feature a lot and would really like to keep using it, so I submitted this suggestion about it:
→ If you’d also like to continue using this crossfader function, please vote for the suggestion!
An alternative for Algoriddim would be to add a MIDI command, so we can reassign the crossfader to this function ourselves.
It would be super helpful if a MIDI command could be introduced for this, specifically to use alongside the crossfader, so we could ‘tell’ the Match function which Deck to find matches for.
Hi @DJ_Big_Blender, I don’t have any news on this. I recommend that you open a new suggestion topic for the additional MIDI command as this topic has been considered solved.
