Add music from any source to My Collection playlists

I’ll make playlists usually in the streaming services I use in DJay, but sometimes a track or two aren’t available on one platform, and are on another.

I’d rather not be switching playlists all night, but be able to use the DJay My Collection playlists to pull everything needed together.

For Beatsource, this worked great, along with local storage files, but for the few tracks I wanted to pull in from Spotify, I got an error that it’s not allowed.

Is this a limitation of Spotify/their rules? Is there any way to work around this and reference a track ID from their API and keep that in a playlist?

It seems to be possible when I look through my history - it shows me very nicely that certain songs were local, from service A, B, C, and they all coexist in that list, so why not in My Collection?

Hi @jakemprice, currently this is a specific limitation with Spotify. All other services are supported in My Collection.

ah, okay sounds good! just curious, then, how does the play history work around the limitation that my collection has?

To clarify, this is a Spotify limitation, not a My Collection limitation. The History will show the songs you played regardless of the source.
