Add Offline Mode for Apple Music Streaming

Hi, I saw a previous thread that was closed, it was unresolved and I would like to readdress it.

I use my iPad as a backup to my main system.

In the Apple Music app, I can download songs to its offline locker and play the songs if not connected to internet. If I go that exact Apple Music playlist playlist through Djay Pro, and disconnect the internet, the songs disappear and obviously can’t be played. I know Apple (and all other music steaming platforms) are strict about those type of things, but logic would would suggest that if Apple allows for Offline downloading and playing songs on their app, isn’t it the same thing playing through Djay Pro. After all we are paying for an Apple Music subscription anyway, and we have downloaded the songs to the Apple Music offline locker. The songs are literally sitting on on our hard drives. Can’t this be made to work that we can play songs offline in Djay Pro, without having buy each and every song?

It would be nice if there was a solution for this, because ultimately it’s no different with other services such as Tidal, where there is also the option of saving the tracks on the device and listening to them offline. And with Virtual DJ, for example, the use is also implemented accordingly. So technically there’s nothing to be said against it, I think it’s more a question of the individually negotiated contracts between the streaming providers and the major labels.

Thanks for the suggestion @DJRedwood. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!
