Add support for Traktor Kontrol Z2

We get it. Z2 on iOS is not supported by Native instruments. The audio card will be recognized but not the midi. So my question is, why hasn’t Djay Pro worked on getting the Z2 to be natively supported on a Mac OS or Windows OS. Like Serato did. It seems as though the folks at Djay Pro aren’t willing to work on popular mixers or controllers (Roland dj707m) if they aren’t iOS capable. If a popular mixer and controller, especially those that are requested frequently by your end users, are Mac OS and Windows OS compatible, why not at least make that available for your end users?……

Forget about the Z2, they didn’t even support the latest class compliant Z1 MK2 and X1 MK3, which probably have way more users than 10+ year old mixer.

Don’t get me wrong, I wish they’d support the Z2 too, but the chances are basically zero, unless they have AI writes codes for them instead of human I’m sure they don’t have enough manpower and time.

We will observe what will they do with latest Traktor MX2.

The Kontrol Z2 has a very large user base. This was evident when Serato announced in May that they were adding support for this legendary mixer. They did it for a reason!

Today I used djay pro for the first time, and I’m sure it will soon become the absolute leader in DJ software. I’m totally impressed. So it’s a huge disappointment for me that my Z2 isn’t being detected.
Please, don’t give up with this idea. Have the chances improved even a little over these 3 years? Let us know if there is even a shadow of a chance?

Z1 is already working with Djay on macOS, you guys gotta support Z2 on macOS, Come on! no reason to avoid this really!

Traktor Z2 on Djay Pro Mac

Thanks for the feedback @hardbea7. This device is nearly 14 years old now and no longer in production. At the moment, our hardware engineers are focused on supporting the current-generation of DJ gear, including newly released controllers. They are working at full capacity on this effort. We are aware of user demand for the Z2 and other older NI devices, but they are not at the top of the list right now. If the priorities change, I’ll definitely let everyone here know. Lets me be real Traktor Kontrol Z2 sounds better than DJM s5 & s7 I Own Both & one less than 2yrs old and its already acting out but my Traktor Kontrol Z2 witch I bought over 13 yrs ago now its 2026 I’ve just replaced my crossfader today Tuesday Aug 8 /I would love it if your technical team would make this happen I really love to use your software but pioneer mixers makes your sotware sound #CHEESY vs. Traktor Kontrol Z2. The Traktor Kontrol Z2 has a warm sound,almost vinyl like so please help me & other vet Dj’s keep this #Tank of a mixer in Battle

No, we talking what seven years and counting since I first requested support for the kontrol Z2 and this is the main reason why I am still using serrato. I mean, let’s face it, tractor scratch, it’s dead. but I love this mixer, this mixer sounds better than both the S7 and DJMS5. plus I just bought the new Inofader Pro 3 that sounds great. and I wanna stay here because my prior Inofader I bought over 11 years ago and I actually got my control Z2 back in like 2010. and the original line faders are still in there, which are mini inofaders and a sound just as good as they did when I first bought the mixer, so please algorithm make this possible​

I know, mate! I’ve been tirelessly waiting for Algoriddim to support all my Traktor gear. I’ve been following up on my forum posts with them for years, and still nothing…

I own pretty much every Traktor controller except the S2 and S3. It honestly hurts every time I look at them. They’re beautifully designed, solid pieces of hardware, truly works of art. Yet they barely get any love or proper support from any DJ software developers. Such a waste of incredible hardware!
