Device model: iPhone 14 Pro
iOS: 18.6.1
Version of djay: 5.4.2
Hardware: Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 (but it doesn’t matter).
Hi,
If I would like to add any track from Beatport to playlist, the app crashes immediately. I observed this since djay 5.4.2 release. (I’ve been using it for years, but never had anything like this before).
Other sources (such as Tidal, local files, djay Music ) works fine.
Log out/in from Beatport did not help.
Otherwise the app works completly fine.
How to reproduce the issue:
Just open the app, tap to load a song from Beatport, tap the …, tap “Add to playlist” then the app immediately close.
It was probably one of my Beatport Playlists (not the ones in My Collection), because after I deleted one, the problem disappeared.
Maybe there was a special character or something in it and the new function “option to use default sort order” added in 5.4.2 version couldn’t handle it well and ran into a snag.
I am experiencing this too with no special characters apart from a hyphen on playlists. could this be looked into please as it worked perfectly prior to the last update

Hi @petrorosel, welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear you’re also experiencing this issue. Thanks for the setup details and video - this is very helpful! Our engineering team is aware of the issue and is investigating further.
Hello everyone, engineering has identified the problem and it will be fixed in an upcoming update (likely 5.4.3)
In the meantime, to work around the crash, you can select any playlist sort option other than “Default” and then it won’t crash when adding tracks. I hope that helps!
