Adding track analysis data to the MP3 file and database movement

In Serato to back up everything to do with music all you have to do is copy your database. On DJay pro for Mac OS you have to copy your database, and then copy the track analysis data folder in the system library. Why the extra step? I would also love to see the database stored where my music is stored. Example: I use an external SSD to house my music. With Serato the database is made and stored on my SSD. That way when I use my second laptop I can just plug my SSD in and everything I need is ready to go. With DJay I have to copy the database from one machine to another. I would love the option to have my database, with track analysis data, stored on my SSD so playing on a different laptop is plug and play.

Thanks for the suggestions @DJSethV Good ideas. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!

Yes! We’ve been over this… Check out my ideas. They’re similar to what you’re saying…
This isn’t the first request for database work.
We believe in the strength and capabilities of Djay Pro developers. They are the best!
