AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 settings are not being remembered between sessions

Further to: AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 Official Support - #95 by DJ_NARKOTX

On the AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6, the last-used state of certain buttons and switches is not being remembered.

This means every time you power on and connect the DDJ-GRV6 you need to go through a little routine of touching certain buttons and things in order to get ready (because it’s forgotten the setting since you used it last).

I don’t have another controller to test this against so I’m not sure if this is a bug or a suggestion. Some buttons and settings are remembered, which makes me wonder if this is a bug or an oversight.

There are six to start with, see below picture and text for clarification.

At the point of powering up and connecting to the iPad:

  1. Beat FX always starts on 4 – no matter what the last used value was
  2. All four headphone cue buttons are always off – no matter which combination were on last time
  3. Master cue button is always off – no matter which state it was in last time
  4. STEMS FX – Two parts to this issue:
    a. This needs to check the switch position at the point of starting up. It’s currently always off, even if the switch is physically on
    b. The selected buttons are not remembered
  5. Pad mode buttons always defaults to HOT CUE – no matter which pad mode was last used
  6. FX Set button is always off – no matter whether it was on or off last time

Again, I don’t have another controller to compare this “last used state” to but it’s strange that some things are checked and positioned correctly at first start (eg, tempo sliders) and others are not.

Tagging @Paul_Van_der_Weyde in case he has noticed any more to add to the list.

Your entire list sounds normal to me no matter the hardware or software.
You want things OFF when you power off, untill when you need them again and you turn them back on.

Sounds like when you power off your grv6 in the evening you wonna wake up in the morning and find it back on?

Good to know, thanks @Armigo

As above, I don’t have another controller to compare this behaviour to so I don’t know if it’s a common trait
