Assign "selected deck" to crossfader?

Mapping the Select Deck 1 & 2 functions to buttons on a midi controller works, but I would like to assign them to the crossfader on the controller, so that deck 1 is selected when the crossfader is to the left, and deck 2 when it is to the right. Is this possible?

In general, I have a hard time finding the Selected Deck functions useful, as there is no indication in the UI as to which deck is selected. This makes the toggle deck function in particular very difficult to use. The concept of selected deck is great and could be very powerful, but I can barely use it in its current implementation.
Is there something I am missing?

I am using the Numark Mixtrack Platinum and a Korg nanoPad. I have assigned the X-Y touchpad on the nanoPad to control the filter and FX 1 of the selected deck.

Ideally I would like the selected deck to be set by the crossfader on the Mixtrack, but as it stands I have to assign two pads on the nanoPad to “Select deck 1” and “Select deck 2”.

BTW, I am using djay Pro 2, if that makes any difference.
