YOUR QUESTION:

  1. I’ve been searching through the community forums and haven’t found the answer to this. Algoriddim will not stop auto-adjusting the pitch. I’ve turned off every single preference and it’s as if anything I touch on the controller causes some sort of adjustment in the pitch. Sometimes it adjusts the pitch of the incoming track, sometimes the previous track, and sometimes both simultaneously.

Personally, outside of of audio limiter, I don’t know why there’s an insistence on every single thing aspect of dj software attempting to take control and do things automatically. But it’s especially annoying when you can’t undo whatever setting. Currently the software is unusable. I recently did a fresh install of Mac OS and all software and it appeared the problem might have been I hadn’t signed in and restored my purchase. After restoring the purchase the problem persisted. The FLX4 is fairly new and I have nothing selected on it that would do this and I’m assuming even if I did (since it’s a controller) it would show up in the djay interface.

Why is it so difficult to get the software to NOT do things automatically. Shouldn’t the default be for it NOT to assume it knows better than me what I want to do in my own mix?

Hi @Matthew_x, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the details about the issue and your setup - this is very helpful.

  1. When you say “pitch”, can you please clarify if you are talking about the Key of the song or the BPM of the song?
  2. If you could share a short screen recording that would help.
  3. It sounds like you may have Crossfader FX and maybe Tempo Blend enabled.

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
