AutoLoops are off, sound kinda...not good

I haven’t quite pinpointed the problem, but I’ve noticed it’s worse when I’m using a MIDI button assigned to “Beat Tap.” When you beat tap with the mouse, there’s an option to “apply” and it looks like it analyzes for a short bit, and in the latter case, the loops are tighter.

Then there’s the beat grid. I’ve tried adding one after several midi beat taps, but same issue.

Any ideas?
