Automix not syncing tracks

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:

  • tracks don’t sync when automix is being used. if I hit the sync button, they’ll sync up for a couple of beats, then go out of sync again. this will happen with pretty much every automix

B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  • that tracks sync when automixed

D) ACTUAL RESULTS:

  • they don’t

Hi @jpb83, Thanks for the details about the issue and your setup - this is very helpful.

  1. Does This happen with all songs? I noticed the songs in your video do not have clearly defined beats which could be the issue. It would be great to test Automix with songs that have regular beats.
  2. Can you please also share screenshots of your Automix Settings? Thanks!

Just tried it with a few track combos, looks like it always happens on dynamic beatgrid tracks. straight grid tracks were fine. the dynamic tracks have correct beatgrids, but the sync doesn’t work for them in automix

  1. Does sync work on those tracks if you aren’t using Automix?
  2. In your Automix Settings, please try setting the Tempo adjust->Sync instead of Sync+Tempo Blend.

sync works fine without automix. issue fixed when changing to just sync, but now it doesn’t auto adjust the tempo of tracks back to 0. set it to automatic, and no-sync in automix issue returned

Thanks for confirming. I believe you are simply pushing the limits of what sync, dynamic beatgrids, and automatic tempo adjust can achieve. I recommend that if you want to use Automix with dynamic BPM songs that have limited beats that you use sync only instead of sync+tempo adjust.

ok no worries. However, I also can’t use sync+tempo adjust on dynamic bpm tracks that have a beat all the way through. the problem isn’t the lack of beat, it’s the dynamic. so it would be good if they looked at making it so automix, sync+tempo, and dynamic beat grids all work together

no worries. i just put these 4 in automix with sync+tempo blend and usual issue occured.
