Be able to split audio device when using HDMI as output on iPhone/ iPad

Hi!

When connecting either a hdmi adapter (like the Apple digital AW adapter) or using mirroring to an Apple TV from Djay Pro - and selecting HDMI as the audio output in Djay pro…all other audio sources disappear. E.g you won’t be able to tap the audio signal to another audio output (like in my case a Reloop Mixon 8) and keep the video stream going though the hdmi adapter or an Apple TV connection.

That would be a nice feature!

That might be a restriction in iOS and requires support needed on operating system or even hardware level…

But yes, nice suggestion

Hi @Djcopilot, you can already do this.

  1. If you have a USB-C type iOS device and a USB-C Hub with HDMI and USB-A sockets.

  2. Launch djay, connect your HDMI cable and TV/Monitor to the hub.

  3. Then connect your Mixon 8 to the Hub.

  4. djay typically uses audio from the last device connected, but you can also select the audio device from the Control Center (swipe down from the top right on your iOS device).

  5. From here, simply make sure the Reloop Mixon 8 Pro is selected as your audio output device.
