Beat Jump - Auto Loop Length

Bump!

Please, give us a switch to lock the Loop & Jump length values. Now, with the recent versions, the list of values should be the same. We only miss the option to lock them and work with the same value for both across UI and controllers.

Please!

I was just about to write a post asking for this feature when I found this one.

Also a former long-term Traktor user. This would be a really nice feature to have.

It means you can use just one encoder for autoloop and beat jump:

  • Turn the encoder to set the beat jump / autoloop length
  • Press the encoder to activate/deactivate the autoloop
  • Shift + turn the encoder to beat jump forward / backward

This feature would be amazing to see. It’s one of only two little features I miss from Traktor. (The other is ‘pre-enable the next saved loop we come to, whichever one it is’).

Hi @lexy, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the additional input. Don’t forget to vote above.

@Slak_Jaw Good morning, as far as you know, given the number of votes received, is the team looking for a solution to this problem?
It would be enough to have the option in the options to disable the function that resets the default duration to 4 beats at the end of a loop, leaving the beats set by the user. This way, the beatjumps wouldn’t lose synchronization.
Or, it would be enough to implement a system where the beatjumps also follow the loops step by step. So, once the loop, perhaps 1 beat long, is closed, just as the loops return to the value of 4, the beatjumps automatically follow the same value.
They’re already very small and poorly highlighted on the home page. At least they always follow the loops so you can see them, knowing that the value is the same between loop and beatjump.

Hi @Screma, this is on our dev team’s list. I can’t say more than that though…

YOUR SUGGESTION:When I have a loop active, sometimes I want to beat jump back 4 beats, but when I do so, the active loop also moves back.

  1. Give us the option to choose for the active loop to beat jump with the playhead or stays put while just the playhead beat jumps.

Hi @AnthonyTon, welcome to the Community! Thanks for the suggestion. I have merged it with this existing one. In the future, please use search before creating new topics. Please also use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this suggestion. Thanks!

my request is for the beat jump to jump just the playhead without the active loop moving.

Thanks for the additional info @AnthonyTon. Perhaps you can clarify with a video? Thanks!

This idea needs to stay alive for users; it’s a very useful feature for all users!!!
