Hello everyone,
For the second time, I need to uninstall DJAY PRO from my iPad.
I’ll try to explain it with this example: I have a folder with 10 tracks, so I need to add another track to this same folder. However, when I add it, the beat of this new track doesn’t align with the grid.
That’s why I have to uninstall DJAY Pro and reinstall it (losing my mapping). After reinstalling, I add the folder with the 11 tracks and then, yes, the alignment is perfect.
Is there a way to solve this without uninstalling DJAY PRO?

Hi @Alexseyn_Rodrigues, thanks for the details about your setup and the issue. This sounds like strange behavior and I am unable to replicate it based on the information you’ve provided so far.
- You should not have to uninstall djay in order to correct beatgrids.
- Also, prior to uninstalling djay, it is possible to backup your MIDI mappings and djay Media Library database so you don’t lose anything. Let me know if you’d like me to show you how to do this.
- What is the source of your music (TIDAL, Beatport streaming, Local Music, etc.)?
- If you are using Local Music, what file format are you using and are these files located on you internal iPad drive or an external drive.
- Again if Local Music, how exactly are you getting this music onto your iPad? Please share as much detail as possible.
- I’d like to have a closer look at the songs you are having beatgrid issues with. Can you please upload these 11 songs to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then send me a link to these songs in a DM to me?
- Since this sounds repeatable, can you please try to capture a screen recording of this issue by adding a 12th song to your folder? This may provide some additional clues as to what is happening.
- In the meantime, please refer to the linked FAQ below on how the new Fluid Beatgrid system works and how you can correct beatgrids without uninstalling djay: https://help.algoriddim.com/hc/en-us/articles/11611412062748-How-do-I-use-Fluid-Beatgrid-in-djay-for-iOS
Thanks!
Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
