YOUR QUESTION:

  1. Most of the time when I play a song on the decks, the grid starts on 2 instead of 1, and this has been happening with some songs. I then have to keep adjusting the grid. What am I doing wrong? I’m using an iPad and a USB drive; I don’t know if the USB drive has anything to do with it. See the video I made.

However, in some cases the CUE points I create are disappearing.

Hi @MarcosAraujo, thanks for the info and video. If there is a low volume section of the song before the first major down beat, this is normal behavior. You are using the correct method to manually adjust the beatgrid for these types of songs.

However, it sound like in some cases, djay is not remembering the manual adjustments to the beatgrid. Can you please confirm if this is the case? Thanks!

I’ve noticed that if a track has a silence before it, the Beatgrid starts from that silence, but I believe Djay could recognize this silence. Now, about the manual markers, yes, in some cases, I close Djay and they’re no longer there. And while I’m at it, I’m adding new songs to my collection and Djay isn’t finding them; I have to open Djay and add the new track to my collection, it’s not automatic. These are many questions, and I’m just starting out.

Thanks for the suggestion @MarcosAraujo

Can you please try to capture this with a screen recording so I can share this with our engineering team?

Can you please capture your workflow for adding songs to your collection so I fully understand your process? Thanks!
