Microphone problem on Reloop BeatPad2 managed by android 14
After turning on the microphone with the switch on it, the background music is very much muted, after turning off the switch on the microphone, it returns to the set background level but after 4-5 seconds. How to get around this. The second suggestion, how the microphone signal goes through the application, maybe you can add a tone control for high and low tones or maybe, for example, an echo on the microphone. the problem is that when the microphone is turned on, it causes the background music to be muted and after turning it off, the return time to the set background music volume is too long, 4-4 seconds
Hello
I did a test with a SHURE 58 microphone with a switch and I got angry, auto
gain and auto limiter cause too much muting of the playback. This can’t be
when using a microphone, it’s a disgrace, something is added and something
is broken. How to set this microphone so that it doesn’t affect the
playback. I should mention that the quality and readability of the
microphone have also deteriorated. My hands are just dropping . There is no
prepared song for listening, the microphone is working poorly, it is
starting to become a video game with Djay that has nothing to do with
DJing. What are these subscriptions for, gentlemen, I am speechless. I am
waiting for the matter to be resolved as soon as possible, I am not
interested in the story about the next updates. We use it on mobile radio
open-airs and we use the native RELOOP BEATPAD2 controller . It’s getting
worse, gentlemen, with this basic functionality, the application is no
longer compliant with the trade agreement, I’m sorry to say. Best regards,
J.Sz

Hi @Jaroslaw_Szkudlarek, I have created a new topic for you this time, but please, in the future, make 1 topic for each issue so that we can properly troubleshoot the issue with you. Thanks for understanding.
@Jaroslaw_Szkudlarek I need to pass this issue onto our engineering team for further analysis because I do not have a Beatpad 2 to test myself. To help ensure your issue is clearly explained to our team, can you please try to capture a short video of the issue and upload it here? Thanks!
Hi again @Jaroslaw_Szkudlarek, I see that you created a new topic for this. Thank you! I have merged the topic that I created for you with this one so that we have all the information in one place. As requested above, can you please share a short video of the issue so that it is clearly communicated with our engineering team. Thanks again!
That sounds like ducking to me, which is standard on DJ equipment to lower the music when the mic is used.
TALK OVER doesn’t behave like that, it doesn’t fade in so deeply and doesn’t come back for so long, it’s a problem with auto gain or audio limiter. To get around this you have to turn off both, which is a real disadvantage. It didn’t happen before. And even if it has to be turned off and not permanently attached, if it’s TALK OVER

the problem occurred after update 5.3.1, if it is intentional, how to get
around it?

Hi again @Jaroslaw_Szkudlarek, our engineering team was unable to replicate the issue you are describing on the same hardware and software setup. This suggests that the issue is related to something specific with your setup. To help us troubleshoot your issue further, we will need some more information.
- Can you please confirm that you are using the (built-in) MIDI mapping for the Beatpad 2? Not a custom edited MIDI mapping.
- Are you using the latest firmware from the Reloop website for the Beatpad 2?
- Did you also recently update your Android OS to 14?
- Has anything else changed in your setup between when it was working and stopped working?
- A short video demonstrating the issue might also provide some helpful clues for troubleshooting and solving this for you.
so for the first and next
1- only original mapping
2- the firmware was not uploaded, it is probably V.18 from the purchase
3-Android 14 update in late November 2024, security update April 1, 2025
4-absolutely nothing, neither cabling, hub, everything happens on the
cables and equipment where it was correct.
5- it is not possible .
after update 5.3.1 I noticed after update V 5.3 I didn’t check the
microphone. on version 5.2.10 it was definitely correct.

Thanks for the additional info @Jaroslaw_Szkudlarek. I’ll see if this helps the team at all…
Finally, 100% PRO behavior. IN STEREO and with mega sound of super quality. I waited 9 months for this and it happened and I highly recommend it for professional performances. a recommended set for pro performances with Djay 5.31, I hope nothing breaks
Thanks for the follow up and positive feedback @Jaroslaw_Szkudlarek
